Viper Smart Start has brought revolution in technology. The software for the Viper SmartStart app comes for each of the major phones: iPhone, Android, and Blackberry. Each is a free download from their individual app store. When SmartStart is launched the main screen, the app home page, will come up showing a main SmartStart button in the center of the screen, surrounded by controls for Lock, Unlock, Trunk, and Panic. Also on the screen, beneath the main SmartStart app controls are four tabs used to gather different information: Home, Alerts, Cars, and More. If you have multiple vehicles that are outfitted with SmartStart systems, the Cars tab is used to show each available vehicle and allow you to pick a vehicle that you would like to operate with the SmartStart App. The More tab allows you to access the Viper’s Motor Club, provides a locator for the nearest dealer, and the app settings. The Viper Motor Club is a feature that offers roadside assistance that comes as a part of the Viper’s Secure Service Plan, which costs the user $49.99/year or can be purchased as a bundle for $99.99/three years. Also provided by the SmartStart is a feature called Smart Alerts which will send the owner a text message to any mobile number selected by the owner and will inform them anytime their Viper alarm is triggered.

This app is also flexible if you buy a new phone and want to continue to use the Viper SmartStart system. Because the SmartStart remote is based on an app, it is possible to add additional remotes by downloading the app onto other Smartphones and logging onto your existing account. Once the app is installed onto a new phone and logged into successfully, all vehicles that on the account can be accessed by the new phone. This allows you to never worry about losing the functionality of this app even if you happen to have to replace your current device.
